Indigenous Engagement Virtual Session: Baby Point Heritage Conservation District Project (HCD)

The City of Toronto is hosting an engagement session for Indigenous communities and invites you to attend!

Learn about the development of the Heritage Conservation District Plan for the Baby Point Neighbourhood.

A Heritage Conservation District is a planning tool that can conserve and enhance cultural heritage resources in a defined area and help manage future change and growth.

Your input will inform an understanding of how the Plan area is valued by Indigenous communities, and inform policies designed to conserve and enhance the area’s cultural heritage resources. 

The Baby Point Neighbourhood is an area of deep significance to Indigenous communities given its relationship to the Toronto Carrying Place Trail, as a place of burial, and as the location of the seventeenth century Haudenosaunee village of Teiaiagon.
